Jennifer
Gladysz is the
owner/operator of Mobile Mutts Dog Walking.
She is a trained dog handler and a long time dog
owner and lover.
After
serving in the Army for three years as a Watercraft
Engineer, Jennifer decided to return to New York
to earn her degree in Museum Studies at NYU. After
graduating she went to work in a small museum
in NYC but quickly realized that a desk job just
wasn't for her. Jennifer then set out to discover
her true calling. She had no idea that taking
a part time position at Monster Mutt Doggie Daycare
was going to turn into a career as a dog walker
but shortly after working with the dogs at Monster
Mutt, she knew that was what she wanted to do. Now she happily spends her days running Mobile Mutts and providing jobs for many creative and talented dog and cat lovers (see below).
Jennifer has also recently co-authored a book called Be A Dog's Best Friend: A Safety Guide for Kids with Renee Paynee of Walk This Way Canine Behavior Therapy.
She lives with her husband, Keith; their 14-year-old daughter
Ema; three dogs Bowie, Cash and June; and their three
cats Irma, Pickles and Squirrel.

Mariah
Elliott is from Seattle where
she was a bored and uninspired secretary with
a languishing degree in fashion design. Now residing
in Williamsburg, she plans to start her own mini
clothing line and hopes to perfect her pattern making
and tailoring skills while pursuing a bachelor’s
degree at FIT. As part of an overall lifestyle
change, she has happily abandoned her once full-time
relationship with a computer screen to wander
the streets of Brooklyn with the superior companionship
of happy pups.
Mariah’s favorite
pastimes include knitting while listening to news
podcasts, obsessively reading political magazines,
frivolously collecting books to add to her collection
of books she’s yet to read, reading with
the hope of becoming more well-read, coming up
with new justifications to convince herself that
fashion is not a meaningless pursuit, people-watching
for design inspiration, and indulging in international
fashion blogs.

Laura Melillo grew up in Kansas/Texas with several mutts and adopted stray cats, as well as a (female) three-toed box turtle named Roberto. In 2003 she moved to NYC to attend the Macaulay Honors College at CUNY Hunter, and graduated in 2007 with a BA in Film.
Some of her spare time is budgeted toward her own art, photography, and video projects. Particularly into paper, she enjoys collecting paper, creating her own patterns on paper, and creating stop-motion paper animation. She's also an incorrigible doodler, as some clients who've seen her “Daily Poop Reports” are well familiar.
But more often she can be found at BAM Rose Cinemas guzzling twizzlers and sitting close to the screen, or at home with her boyfriend David and other two rescues: Chas the blind ex-street cat (tough on the outside, mooshball inside) and Beach Ball (aka BeBe) the dopey pittie, one of Mobile Mutts' office mascots. You can check out her somewhat aimless blog here : http://pigeonpillow.wordpress.com/

From a small town in Wisconsin, to the much larger Minneapolis, then to an unfathomable New York City, Alicia Murphy has found herself wandering through tall skyscrapers instead of alfalfa fields. Growing up on a goat dairy just outside of Madison, WI, Alicia became a lover of animals big and small. She took care of goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, cattle, cats, rabbits, and two adorable, loving dogs, Oliver and Rosie. After high school Alicia decided to venture outside of what was familiar to her and moved to Minneapolis where she attended the University of Minnesota and got her BA in Global Studies and German. During her junior year in college to traveled abroad to Austria for a full year where she attended school and worked on her German skills. After graduating from the University of Minnesota she spent one year in Minneapolis working as a literacy tutor in an elementary school. When she realized she was ready for something new, New York City was naturally her choice. She now resides in Brooklyn with three roommates and a cat companion named Carrot.
Ideally Alicia would like to find herself working for an exchange organization. But until then walking dogs, traveling, trying and cooking new foods, watching live music, reading, and riding her bike are all things that keep her excited!

Alex DeZenzo grew up in Leverett, MA, near Amherst, where he first learned how much he loved dogs through a good friend's Boston Terrier named Sobrino.
Alex studied jazz piano performance and composition at Bard College where he holds his Bachelor's Degree in the Arts.
When Alex moved to Brooklyn he first became a walker for Mobile Mutts in the summer of 2008, a summer that lead to a blossoming affinity with all dogs great and small.
Having returned to Brooklyn in 2010, Alex found that working the 9-5 grind in an office was not for him and asked Mobile Mutts to take him back as a walker. They gladly accepted. Now in Kensington, Alex is currently performing and teaching piano (always in search of new students!) in the New York Metropolitan area. You can listen to some of his work at www.myspace.com/alexdezenzo

He attended an accelerated program in Orlando, Florida where after two long years of hard work, he graduated with a bachelor's of science degree in film and video production in October of 2006.
When Steve is not walking dogs he is doing freelance cinematography and camera work for anyone that needs it. He is also a musician, specializing in drumming, and has been in a number of bands over the past decade. |

Allison Sommers is a painter who grew up all over the states and now calls Brooklyn home. She has a BA in history from the University of Virginia.
Animals have always been among her very best friends and confidantes, and she grew up with all manner of them including dogs, cats, horses, turtles, lizards, birds, a potbellied pig, and all sorts of small furry pets. She misses her dachshund, Fritz (pictured with her), and a grumpy parrot named Timmy, who live with her mom.
When she's not out dog walking, Allison is probably in the studio painting; she works primarily in gouache and creates tiny worlds where strange beasts live. You can see her work at allisonsommers.com.

Jim Carapezza hails from the borderland of Queens/Long Island. Early on, he decided to be a chef and after completing culinary school worked in prominent NYC restaurants. Shifting careers, he became veterinary technician where he instantly fell in love with furry friends, and parlayed this animal experience into the more upbeat job of walking dogs for Mobile Mutts. He now happily resides in Brooklyn, meandering with his canine buddies by day, occasionally doing a cook tour and cooking on weekends, and also making music and playing shows.

Felicia Sonsini was born and raised in southern New Jersey. She grew up riding horses since she could walk and had been a horse trainer and barn manager for several years before moving up to NYC. Felicia wanted to give her other passion, art and photography, a shot here in the city and it has been very promising to her thus far! Being raised with a zoo of animals at all times (horses, cats, dogs, large birds and reptiles, rodents, etc) and loving every minute of it, she decided to become a dog walker to get her animal fix while still living in the city.
Walking dogs during the week, her weekends are usually filled up by her other job, photography. She specializes in weddings, pet and human portraits and fine art/experimental photography. You can see some of her work here: http://www.innerstellar.com.
When Felicia is not walking dogs or being permanently attached to her camera she enjoys painting/drawing, anything involving horror and the bizarre (video games, movies, reading Stephen King!) and adventuring in the great outdoors!

Beth Hinners grew up in the suburbs of Northern Virginia with Spot, the best dog that ever lived. Spot, a black and white springer-spaniel/retriever mix, was renowned far and wide for his fence jumping abilities. He starred with Beth and her brother in the critically acclaimed film “Spot The Wonder Dog”, and is the inspiration for Beth’s love of all animals.
After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University, Beth explored various career paths in floral design or landscape architecture, while providing excellent pet care for friends and neighbors. It wasn’t until she moved to NYC a year ago, that she realized she could be a full time dog walker! Now she is ecstatic that her days will be spent outside with the greatest dogs in Brooklyn!

Sellers Terrell is a Brooklyn-transplant circa June 2010 and didn't waste any time falling in love with this city. She has lived in a grand total of 9 different states now (born in Alabama, but most recently moved from Lawrence, Kansas) - and can honestly say NYC is by far her favorite!
When Sellers was just a little pup herself, she lived on a farm in North Carolina where her true passion for animals really began to grow. Back in those days, she was tending to cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, goats, you name it - on a daily basis. She even had a black pot-bellied pig named Arnold who loathed everything but food! She considers herself to be both an avid cat and dog lover and has been fascinated by the companionship of animals for as long as she can remember.
Sellers graduated in May 2010 with her Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Kansas but is plenty happy spending her days walking the coolest dogs and tending to the most awesome cats in Brooklyn!
When Sellers isn't hanging out with her favorite four-legged friends - she is likely cozied up at home with her own beloved NYC-adopted black cat Dylan Dapper; writing creative short-stories and poetry; or on some random city adventure to find good food, live music, a beautiful park to watch people in or on the prowl for a new friend.

Daniel Mitchell was born and raised in New York and is a die hard Yankees/Rangers fan. Daniel had been in the culinary field just about all his life which is why he jumped at the opportunity of becoming a dog walker. He attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY as well as New England College in Henniker, NH for one year, and ended up sticking around for five.
Daniel is an long time resident of Bushwick, and writes for and co-owns an Art and Culture website (TheBushwickDream.com) about the neighborhood with his good friend Daniel Stover (who also works for Mobile Mutts). Daniel has owned a plethora of dogs, cats, rodents and lizards, however he fear and loathes spiders. He really enjoys The Simpsons, sports, art, Scrabble and playing guitar. He is also a avid collector of fedora's, baseball caps and other odd hats. In his other free time he likes competing in beard and mustache competitions and riding The Cyclone.

Hannah Littlefield grew up in Cornville, Maine, with many dogs, barn cats, and pigs. In 2006, she graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Horticulture. With an interest in biology and ornithology, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and tree climbing. In 2005, she studied abroad in Cork, Ireland, and for a short time in 2008, she lived in Lihue, HI.
Hannah has lived in New York City since November, 2008. Before coming to Mobile Mutts she walked dogs in Manhattan for about a year.
When she's not having a blast walking dogs, she's probably baking pies, cookies, or scones. As an arts enthusiast, she loves movies, music, and dance performances, but she is particularly obsessed with live theater. Her favorite New York pastime is finding tickets to Broadway shows at discounted prices.

Charlie Cochrane (aka Chuck) moved to New York after 6 years in Philadelphia, where he received a B.A. in Writing For Film & Television from University Of The Arts. Putting the screenwriting on hold for now, Charlie is playing with a blues-rock trio that has been unable to name themselves for the better part of 4 months. When not rocking out, Charlie likes to spend time with his brother, sister-in-law and niece in Kensington. Although his brother is, and always has been, extremely allergic to dogs and cats, that didn't stop his parents from owning Labs, Dachshunds and barn cats when Charlie was growing up.
Charlie had been serving bagels in Murray Hill when, at his sister's wedding in July, he connected with Jen and Keith (long-time friends of his sister's new husband) and found his way into the Mobile Mutts family. He is ecstatic to no longer be serving people food and enjoys each day he spends with four-footers hoofing it through Brooklyn.

Matthew Brunner is originally from Suffolk County, NY. He grew up with kittens until his mother became allergic, hamsters until they "fell asleep for a long time", backyard-box turtles until his neighbor told him they were covered in salmonella, and Kirby, his 13 year old yorkie who doesn't wear a bow tied in his hair.
He moved to the Bronx in 2006 to attend college, at which he studied English, German, literature, and philosophy. Having originally considered becoming an academic, he now finds himself freelance bookbinding and copyediting while he pursues a career in translation.
When not bantering about literary theory, his hobbies usually include rifling thru the finds in bookshop-basements, looking for some new cassettes, spazieren gehen mit Freunden, and tree climbing.
He moved to Brooklyn in 2011, first spending time in Williamsburg and now living in Bushwick. Having lived at the end of the line on the 1-train for 5 years, he doesn't get why everyone keeps griping about the G-train.

James Tyler Jontz (aka Ty) grew up just north of Manhattan with his family and his two dogs Raffy (a poodle/terrier mix) and Scooter (Jack Russel Terrier). He raised Scooter from a tiny puppy and considers him like a brother.
He started writing music at a young age and finally ended up moving to Brooklyn to pursue music and freelance post production. He currently lives in Park Slope with his lovely wife who he married in late 2010.
When he isn’t walking dogs, he is playing guitar in his band and various other music projects. He can also be found playing some old school video games, watching the Knicks, or spending time in the park. He loves travelling and hopes to get to Japan very soon!

Brad Lee was raised in Greensburg, PA in a household full of animals - cats, dogs, birds, fish, rabbits, hamsters and various reptiles. He even helped his veterinary assistant mother care for sick animals from time to time. After relocating to New York City in 1999, Brad earned his income running various video stores and cafes. Eventually he grew weary of the retail grind and decided to put his love of animals to good use.
Music is also a huge part of Brad's life, as he DJ's around the city and compulsively keeps himself up-to-date on the latest genres and trends. He loves going to shows, especially if it's to support one of his many musically talented friends.
Currently residing in Bushwick, Brad spends his free time playing an inordinate amount of Scrabble, following his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, and keeping his cats Mingus and Monkey out of trouble.

Austin Formica is a photographer and an avid animal lover from Washington D.C. whose passion for art drew him to NYC. Before moving to Brooklyn in 2009 he studied photography at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, and spent a lot of his time hiking, camping and exploring northern California. In San Francisco, Austin and his Husky “Dilla” had a blast traversing the many parks in the city.
Since moving to New York, his active lifestyle and wanderlust have really kicked into high gear. Whether he’s zipping around town on his bike, taking a leisurely stroll through the park, or working on a busy film set, most likely you’ll find him outside. In his downtime he loves playing his guitar really loud, and doesn’t mind relaxing with a good book, but is most likely scheming his next camping trip or adventure.

Emily Einhorn hails from Chicago, Illinois. A musician (guitar, banjo, ukulele) and songwriter, she plays alongside an upright bass player, and frequently haunts a stage at the Anti-Folk venue, the Sidewalk Cafe. After graduating from Sarah Lawrence College in May of 2011 she moved to Brooklyn, and has since adopted a black and white short haired cat named Mitty, short for Mittens for Kittens.
After seven years of food service she had high hopes of finding something different. She is thrilled to be walking puppies instead of serving yuppies. As a kid in Chicago she grew up with a husky, a miniature poodle, a siamese cat, two boxer turtles, two hermit crabs, two brothers, a sister, and thirty-four guppies. Walking a pack of dogs feels like home.

Taylor Byron is a native Californian who is in love with two things: dogs and sun. With her recent winter move to New York, and no canine friend to call her own, she knew that she would have to find SOMETHING to remind her of home. So now instead of the dog days of summer, she has dog days in Brooklyn! When she's not with the pups, she's either satisfying her creative cravings by painting or drawing, or she's learning something new and exciting. Her latest endeavor is learning how to speak sign language, and she is hoping to expand on her undergraduate degree in history soon. She also likes to Skype with her Jack Russells, Oliver and Freckles, back at home.

Ashur Rayis grew up in Georgia playing music, rolling on the floor with his dogs and cats, and kicking around a soccer ball. To this day, not much has changed. He graduated from Hampshire College in May 2011 after a final performance project exploring the relationship between physical space and memory, with the help of an 11 instrument ensemble. Since moving to Brooklyn, Ashur has been doing design and composition work for theater productions around the city and bouncing between various restaurant jobs, but he is much happier bouncing around with happy dogs!

Valerie Young was born and raised in North Carolina and has always had a passion for animals. She attended a university in a small town and realized that the small town life wasn’t for her—so she picked up and moved to the big city in order to pursue her dream of writing. In North Carolina, Valerie volunteered at the animal shelter walking, bathing, and caring for the critters. Also, she comes from a home that housed every type of animal imaginable (dogs, cats, chinchillas, cockatiels, and reptiles) so she quickly realized that she needed to find something that allowed her to spend time with animals or her new life in NYC would not feel complete. Now, that the void in her life has been filled with lots of cute and cuddly animals, she spends her free time writing fiction and poetry and being a part-time resident/part-time tourist of The Big Apple!

A recent NYC transplant and country girl at heart, LiA Sanders thought she was destined to work in a skyscraper on Madison Avenue. The she found Mobile Mutts! Now she gets to keep both feet in the ground and explore the neighborhoods of Brooklyn with the best dogs in the city. Matt Maher grew up an hour outside the city in Connecticut among rock walls and winding roads with a constant ratio of 2 dogs and a cat, along with guest appearances by guinea pigs, hamsters and a few horses as well.
Matt attended Pratt Institute for a degree in Communications Design focusing in Illustration and continues to live in Brooklyn, although his family pets like to remind him that he still owes them plenty of love when he's home.
When not petting pooches, Matt doodles, watches every movie he can and tries to keep his roommates' girlfriend's cat; Duke, from drooling too much on his neck.
